Stepzilla is officially eviler than Scrooge, the Grinch, and Krampus all combined.

Her recent shtick happened at the beginning of this week. She stomped into our office and announced that if we don't get our work done, we're not going on Christmas vacation. This would be the vacation that she approved back in May. The same vacation that she's had more than enough time to plan around.

The odd part is, we would have our work finished a long time ago if she'd actually let us do it. But she demands we give it back to her, don't send it off to be printed, don't let anyone else see it, then freaks out when someone finds ONE typo. This added to the fact that she took a week-long vacation at the beginning of the month and made us sit around with (to coin a phrase my father always uses) “our thumbs up our asses” waiting for her to get back and give us her approval before we could do any more work.

Stepzilla is technically not letting us do our work while saying if we don't get it done we're not going on vacation.

Oh no, but it gets WORSE. My vacation doesn't matter all that much. I always take off way too much time and don't do anything. I just prep for the holidays. However, Sharpie is driving out of state to see her daughter graduate from college.

Sharpie gets a second dose of "you're not going anywhere" today. Stepzilla takes her into her office and says privately that she's falling behind (Note: this is because my boss won't let her finish it) and that she shouldn't plan on going on vacation.

Sharpie gets more work done in this office than anyone else. She's been tearing through her list of projects like nobody's business. For my boss to say that she's falling behind is a bunch of shit. It's amazing that Sharpie is getting all this work done--a miracle.

Sharpie leaves the "lecture" more than a little dejected. She says she's just going to keep working on her stuff, take her vacation, and if she comes back and they fire her, then so be it. She'll collect unemployment.

And Stepzilla? She's taking off that week for vacation regardless of whether or not her work is done, of course.
